Components: Building Blocks for Automated Business Processes
نویسنده
چکیده
To solve this problem, corporate developers are increasingly designing applications that insulate the business functionality (application logic) from the business rules for routing work among the multiple steps that need to be performed. This approach is especially well-suited to componentbased architectures that are driven by workflow engines. In this presentation, Mr. Sprinzen will discuss the component approach to automating business processes, focusing on the following topics:

Building-Blocks Selection based on Business Processes Semantics for SAP R/3
We present a semantic-based toolkit for the automated selection of Building-Blocks in SAP R/3, aimed at easing and improving Best Practices reusability. The automated selection process exploits Abduction-based Concept Covering in Description Logics to select Building Blocks and provides, if necessary, logic-based information on what remains unavailable.

business so far. Businesses realize that the cost of automating transactions with trading partners is very high. Standards and technologies for modeling e-business processes that use Web services could drive the costs down by achieving automated code generation, reuse, and interoperability—facilitating communication between business analysts and implementers. Our proposed Process Coordination F...

The Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) is a process modeling language which uses standard control constructs to define a process flow. But today enterprises have to be flexible and adaptable to cope with increasing change, uncertainty and unpredictability. Automating agile business processes is still a challenge as they are normally knowledge intensive, little automated but compliance r...
متن کاملBusiness Engineering Building Blocks
In order to utilize the contemporary advanced technology, business processes need sound software support. With respect to this, one frequent cause of software project failure is the mismatch between the business requirements and the actual functionality of the delivered software application. To solve this problem, it is necessary to build software stemming out from a business process model. Aim...
متن کاملSimulation Using Building Blocks
In this paper we sketch how the use of building blocks provides added value for improving the effectiveness of simulation studies. Research conducted by other groups regarding building blocks is in our view not yet sufficient for successful application in the field of discrete event simulation. In addition the sets of building blocks provided by simulation vendors do not provide the added value...
